George In His Car
This is a one-of-a-kind piece I made for my friend, George Paul. It is depicting him in his old, red outback with his signature license plate “Waltz123” hauling all his gear to the next gig. Some of the gigs that we have both done quite a bit are on the signs, directing him through the Blue Ridge Mountains. He is wearing his favorite ball cap, yellow shirt and suspenders. As a nod to his incredible gift for writing waltzes, there is a stream of music notation paper with waltzes streaming out of the open window. Alcohol inks, black line, opaque pens.
